Jumper is a 2008 science fiction action film directed by Doug Liman and loosely based on the novel by Steven Gould. The film stars Hayden Christensen as David Rice, a young man who discovers that he has the ability to “jump” or teleport to any location he can imagine.
The film also stars Rachel Bilson as David’s love interest, Millie, and Samuel L. Jackson as Roland Cox, a member of a secret organization dedicated to hunting and killing people with teleportation abilities.
The plot follows David as he tries to evade a group of “paladins,” a secret society that hunts jumpers, and reconnect with his estranged mother, who is also a jumper. Along the way, he must confront the moral implications of his powers and decide whether to use them for good or for selfish purposes.

Michael soon falls for Star (Jami Gertz), who introduces him to David (Kiefer Sutherland), leader of a local gang of vampires. Movies like Jumper need to have teens with mysterious powers flitting about unrestrained and aided by plenty of CGI, and despite technically being a “Vampire Movie,” “The Lost Boys” may just be the granddaddy of this particular genre.

After his family’s planet was destroyed by an enemy race called the Mogadorians, they were forced to flee to Earth, where they assumed human form and hid among earthlings. As they near adulthood, they are hunted down one by one in order of their numerical birth order – John Smith being number four. As John attempts to evade capture and protect himself and those he loves, he discovers that within him lies extraordinary powers that will help him survive against the Mogadorians’ overwhelming power.
As in other movies like Jumper, we have a teen “blessed” with super-powers making his way in the normal world. I Am Number Four is a bit more serious than Jumper, but no less thrilling and engaging.

The Tomorrow People (2013) is an American science fiction television series that aired on The CW. It follows a group of young people born with special abilities who are the next evolutionary step in human evolution. The show a thought-provoking exploration of what it means to be human.

Their characters battle against various organizations such as Ultra – a secret underground organization that hunts down the Tomorrow People – while they try to protect their own kind and use their abilities for good. The show also explored important themes like identity, family dynamics and how society views those who are different.
